Directions and Parking: The Common House address is 3525 NYLAND WAY, Lafayette, CO 80026:Heading east on Baseline (from Boulder):Go east on Baseline (about 6 miles from the intersection of baseline and broadway). There is that little jog at Cherryvale, where you take a left on Cherryvale and a Right on the continuation of Baseline. You will cross 76th and go about 1 mile to turn RIGHT on Nyland Way at the Lafayette Water treatment plant. If you get to 95th, you've gone too far. Heading west on Baseline (from Denver or Longmont):Go west on Baseline. Nyland is west of 95th street. Cross the Railroad tracks. Turn LEFT on Nyland Way near the Lafayette Water Treatment plant. If you reach 76th street you have gone too far. Parking at Nyland:Nyland Way will take you around a circle and you can park on the east side of the street heading back out toward Baseline (you will see cars here). Overflow parking is available along the mulch road (look for signage and friends offering guidance of where to park). 2. What if I am coming from sea level? Preparing for Altitude: Our bodies typically take 24-36 hours to adjust to a new altitude. It is not uncommon to be a bit more tired and you may feel a mild headache. To minimize the impact of altitude, stay hydrated, replenish electrolytes, rest, limit alcohol and caffeine, and. To replenish electrolytes you can eat foods containing high amounts of potassium– broccoli, bananas, avocado, cantaloupe, celery, greens, bran, chocolate, granola, yogurt, dates, dried fruit, potatoes and tomatoes –or drink an electrolyte infused beverage. If you are worried about altitude sickness, or you've experienced it before, you can talk to your doctor about trying a prescription of acetazolamide (Diamox) and other potential treatments. There are also over the counter supports like Chloroxygen. As you read this, keep in mind that millions of folks visit Colorado every year without any negative altitude effects. We and the mountains look forward to welcoming you!

A Reflection on Gifts Dear ones, We are receiving questions about gifts... For Jesse and I, your presence at our wedding is gift enough – we know it is expensive to travel and we appreciate your generosity in joining us in September. We both love cards and poems. And we know many of you have expressed a wish to offer a gift in some form. As we think most of you know, we are building a new home…and we will need some things for it, but we are not yet at a stage when we know finishes and color palettes, or even exactly how we are going to combine our belongings, so we do not feel like we could put together a registry list at this time. We are hoping to save for two really comfy reading chairs for the “library/guest room” in the new house and would joyfully receive an offering to the chair fund – in a card at the wedding, or if you no longer deal in cash or check, Jesse has a venmo account, @Jesse-Dow-1.

Q + A

If you do not want to rent a car, you can take the AB bus from the Airport to the McCaslin bus stop which is near the Hampton Inn if you are staying there. Or if you prefer to stay in Boulder, you can take the bus all the way into Boulder. The bus is $10 each way.

RTD bus from Denver International Airport

We have reserved a block of rooms and have a direct booking link as listed below. We have secured a special rate of $135/night. You are welcome to come earlier or stay later for the same rate. The hotel is less than ten minutes from Nyland Cohousing where the wedding and events will be held. And it is near restaurants and Louisville, Lafayette and Boulder - all of which are sweet places to visit.
